MHS Announcements - Monday, March 4, 2024 



 

*Seniors--The Lock-In Committee is  working hard to provide you with the "Last Rodeo" Senior Lock in on graduation night.  Be sure to follow us on Facebook - Class of 2023-2024 Senior Lock-in and also on Instagram...@MHS_SENIOR_NIGHT_2024.  Here are a few events that you can participate in.   First there is the Senior Yard Signs-  A yard sign is a great way to honor your Senior!    Due date is March 17th! And then there is the  Applebee's Dine to Donate on April 4th from 11:00am to close. You must present a flier which can be printed at home, but will also be available at Applebees. If you choose to place a to go order, enter DOING GOOD in the code box.  Your online order will count towards the lock-in.

 

*The Menomonie Area Aquatics Club is looking for some additional volunteers to help on Tuesday, March 5. This is a large middle school meet with several schools coming. Please arrive at 4:15 p.m. This meet should be done around 6 pm. We are in need of several more timers and two concession workers.  Email [email protected] to sign up and to ask any questions.


*The HOSA blood drive is coming up on Friday, March 22 if you are interested in giving blood please see Mrs. Allenstein or a poster around the school to sign up.  We could use your help to save lives! 

 

*Educators Rising still has prizes to give out for those who bring Elementary/Middle School level books for our book drive. This will happen during both lunches Monday and possibly Tuesday- while supplies last.  For every 2 books you bring, you get to spin the wheel for a prize!!! 

 

*Any Juniors interested in helping to plan Prom and join the Prom Committee, please join us for our meeting during Study Hall Wednesday, in the tiered lecture hall.

 

*Senior Student Athletes please listen.  If you have committed to attend a college or university to play college athletics, please email Activities Director, Mrs. Guyant-Holloway with your sport and school you will be attending next year. There will be a signing day celebration on Wednesday, April 17th. More information will come later. 


*Want to learn to fly? Aviation is a growing industry with MANY opportunities available. Both pilots and mechanics are in high demand. Gibson Aviation Services in Menomonie will be here Thursday during study hall to share information about aviation and scholarships available. See you in Room 160.


*Craving some organic coffee from Guatemala? Or even some hot cocoa from Ghana? Tuesday through Friday this week Spanish Club will be selling these organic products during both A and B lunches! Bring some cash and show support!


*Attention FFA and Agriscience Students A friendly reminder that we have our CVTC Ag Skills contest TOMORROW March 5.  Please plan to meet in the front lobby of the school by 7:40 AM. We will travel by bus to Eau Claire for the contest.  Bring money for lunch at Culver's.  We will return to school at approximately 1:30 for the rest of the school day.
