*It was a tough loss, but well fought battle for the boys' hockey team on Saturday.  Congratulations on a successful season, and all the progress you've made in 2 years as a team. To our SENIORS...it has been a pleasure watching you skate together over the years.  YOU have made a positive impact on Menomonie HS Hockey. Your parents, and community are proud of you, and we look forward to seeing all the great things you do in the future.  Signing off...MaMa Schneids


*Seniors, local scholarships are due in less than a week now! Make sure to stop by Student Services during Study Hall today or Friday if you have any questions about these applications. Ms. Belko will be available both days to help. Monday March 4th is the deadline.


*If you are interested in joining choir and would like to audition for Concert Chorus, auditions will take place each day next week either after school or during study hall. Please reach out to Mr. Singer for the audition materials and details - we hope to see you there"


*Are you interested in some Mustang Strength & Speed gear?  Our annual Lift-a-Thon fundraiser is just over a week away.  If you are interested in Lifting and/or collecting donations please come see Mr. Jochimsen for details. 


*Multicultural Club is meeting Wednesday during Study Hall in room 258 - Mr. Collins. All are welcome. Please come. Talk to Kajsiab Xiong, Andrew Thompson, other board members or Mr. Collins with any questions. 


*The HOSA blood drive is coming up on Friday, March 22 if you are interested in giving blood please see Mrs. Allenstein or a poster around the school to sign up.  We could use your help to save lives! 


*Senior Student Athletes please listen.  If you have committed to attend a college or university to play college athletics, please email Activities Director, Mrs. Guyant-Holloway with your sport and school you will be attending next year. There will be a signing day celebration on Wednesday, April 17th. More information will come later. 


*Are you interested in taking college classes next year? Students in grades 9-12 can take classes through the Early College Credit program (which is with Universities) and students in grades 11-12 can take classes through the Start College Now program (which with the Technical Colleges). Applications are available in Student Services and all details are also in Grade Level Google Classrooms for students. If you need assistance, consider making a planning appointment with your Counselor this week before the Application Due Date of Friday, March 1st for the Fall Semester!


*Dunn County 4-H would like to invite all youth to join the Dunn County Photography Club!  The club teaches the basics of photography and leads "Photo Walks" around the county where youth can try out their skills.  It meets once a month either at the Dunn County Government Center (3001 US Hwy 12, Menomonie, WI) or at various "Photo Walk" locations around the county.  If you have any questions about the Dunn County Photography Club, or Dunn County 4-H, please contact the Dunn County Extension office at 715-232-1636.

*If you are interested in one of our CVTC FALL ACADEMY opportunities, such as: PreNursing/Healthcare, Electrical Maintenance or EMT1/EMT2 - the deadline to apply for any of these programs will be Thursday, March 7th, so plan accordingly! These may impact your schedule quite a bit, especially PreNursing/Healthcare and Electrical Maintenance, so see your Counselor if you want to apply for either of these programs and haven't done so yet. Don't miss the deadline, or this option will not be available for next year. Just a reminder that this is the only open to Juniors/Seniors for PreNursing/Healthcare, and open to Seniors only for Electrical Maintenance!

  

Today's Events:


*Boys basketball is traveling to Lakeland for the 1st round of playoffs tip off at 7:00 pm .  All tickets at $6 and will be sold at the door, cash sales only and no passes accepted.
