MHS Announcements - Monday, February 19, 2024

*Congratulations to the girls varsity hockey team. They defeated the ECA Stars 5-1 on Friday night in Chippewa Falls. The CFM Sabers now advance to Tuesday's sectional semifinals to play top-seeded St. Croix Valley Fusion.

*This past Friday the Boys swim and dive team competed at the WIAA State Meet held in Waukesha.  Daniel started off the day, competing for his first time in the Diving event, placing 13th overall.  Gavin Hall competed in the 100 Butterfly and placed 16th overall.  The team of Connor Klimek, Ryan Rood, Kody Kazmarek, and Gavin Hall competed in the 200 yard Freestyle Relay and placed 15th overall.  Congratulations to all competing athletes on representing Menomonie at the State Competition and a season well done!

*Congratulations to the MHS Forensics Team!

The team placed first today at the invitational at Ellsworth High School.  This is the team's fourth consecutive 1st place team finish, meaning they have a clean sweep of all firsts this season. This is the first year a team has done this at MHS since before the Covid lockdown, so this is a huge achievement for the team!  The team will participate in Subdistricts on Monday evening, where they must earn qualifying scores to advance on to District level competition.

Good morning and Happy National FFA Week!

Did you know that the National FFA Organization is the largest youth organization in the world with over 850,000 members nationwide? This week we are celebrating FFA with a few special events.

We will have dress up days during the week.  Refer to the posters in the hallways for the attire to wear each day.

Starting Tuesday, there will be an FFA emblem hidden somewhere in the school.  If you spot it, bring it to the Agriscience room for a prize.

Dirt Cups will be sold for $1 on Wednesday.  Bring some cash for this yummy FFA Treat.

FFA members remember to come to the Ag room on Wednesday for a short meeting and to celebrate National FFA Week with Cake and Milk.  All paid members are welcome!

Finally this Friday we will be having some fun after school with some AG OLYPIG GAMES.  Sign up your team outside the Ag room and come join the fun.
