SDMA September Update & Important Resources
Dear SDMA Families and Staff,
It has been a very busy start to the 2026-27 school year! Thank you families, staff, and community members for working together to support our children.
Each month, the school board receives a Highlight on Youth Report celebrating achievements across our schools. The September report shared during Monday’s school board meeting highlights several student accomplishments from our first few weeks.
As we recognize these successes, we also acknowledge that there are a variety of stressors that can have a dramatic effect on the mental health and well being of our students, families, and staff. Our priority in the SDMA remains maintaining a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment in every school and classroom.
Please know that our schools are here to help, and we are committed to partnering with you. If you or your child have questions, concerns, or need assistance, we encourage open, direct dialogue. Reaching out directly to your child’s building principal, school counselor, teachers, or district staff allows us to address issues quickly and effectively.
