Junior ACT on Tuesday 3/10

Posted Date: 03/05/26 (12:53 PM)

MHS Families and Students,

Junior ACT

Tuesday March 10th is the state required Junior ACT.  All juniors should report to MHS by 7:30 am so that they can get checked in and have time to eat breakfast.  Juniors will report to their testing rooms by 8 am.

Students in grades 9, 10, and 12 will have an At-Home Learning Day.  Teachers will post the classes activities in google classroom for students to complete.  It is expected that students in grades 9, 10, and 12 prioritize a portion of the day to complete the assigned learning activities.

Why State Assessments Matter
State assessments are designed to measure how well students are meeting state academic standards. The results are used to:
  • Evaluate student progress in key subject areas

  • Identify strengths and areas where additional support may be needed

  • Guide instructional planning and curriculum decisions

  • Ensure our school is meeting state and federal accountability requirements

  • Determine eligibility for programs such as Internship, CVTC Academies, and Start College Now. (Students need to take the appropriate assessment and either meet the benchmark or show improvement from the previous year to be eligible)

How Families Can Help
You can support your students by encouraging good attendance, ensuring they get a full night’s rest, and reminding them to do their best. A positive mindset and preparation can make a big difference.

Please reach out with any questions you may have.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
