Stefanie Friedenfels Wins the WIAA Division 1 State Triple Jump Title!

MHS has a new State Champion! Stefani Friedenfels won the WIAA Division 1 Triple Jump with a school record distance of 38' 6.25" (that's thirty-eight feet, six and a quarter inches)

This is an improvement over her previous school record of 36'8 (set two years ago).  She bested this record by 22 inches (for you non-math people, that's almost 2 feet!)

Her jumps were as follows:
35'5
37'0 (school record)
36'6
37'9.5 (school record)
38'6.25 (school record)
37'8

Stefani's 38'6 won.  2nd place was a girl from Brookfield East with a jump of 37'8.25, a significant margin of victory for Steph.  In fact, she had the top two jumps at the state meet.
