The School District of the Menomonie Area will be providing Chromebook computers for all high school students to be used at school and home during the 2018-2019 school year as part of a 1:1 computer program called the 1:1 M-Powered Learning Initiative.  Chromebook computers were distributed to students for use at home and at school on August 14-16
Chromebook parent-student user agreements must be signed online through Family Access prior to receiving the Chromebook.  Optional insurance for $25 is also available for purchase.  The following dates and times are available for Chromebook pick up:

*Students grades 10-12 who missed one of the above dates will occur on August 30th from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at MHS.

*Freshmen students will be on August 30th from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at MHS.

Thursday, August 30th for Freshmen
The freshmen only day at Menomonie High School is Thursday, August 30th.   Bus transportation will not be provided for this day only.  Parents/Guardians of 9th grade students may drop off anytime after 7:30 a.m. where our MHS Link Crew will take over.  The program will start at 8:00 am.  Link Crew is a transition program where upperclassmen and staff work with incoming 9th graders at the start of school and throughout the year to increase connectedness and comfort with the high school environment.  We are excited about our 3rd year of this program and are appreciative of all of our staff and upperclassmen “Link Leaders” who have volunteered their time to help make MHS the best that we can be!  9th grade students will be taken around the building to open their lockers, see their teachers, walk their class schedule, and generally be introduced to the high school environment through activity and camaraderie.  Lunch will be served around noon.  We will end with all 9th graders and families invited to the commons from 2:25‐3:30 pm to view all of the clubs, activities, and athletics available at MHS.  This is a great opportunity to explore all that MHS has to offer.  We have found that the more involved students are in school-related activities, the more likely students will feel connected to high school and have success.

Thursday, August 30th for International/New Students

International students and new students who are not 9th graders will report at 11:00 a.m., August 30th to the library to attend a brief program, have lunch around noon, open lockers, and check into their room locations.  They are also invited to attend the activities fair at the end of the day from 2:25-3:30 p.m. where they can be accompanied by a parent.  They will be able to view all of the clubs, activities, and athletics available at MHS.

Tuesday, September 4th:  The first full day for ALL students in 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade.
Class starts at 7:40 a.m.  The buses will run as usual.
Bell Schedule:  Monday through Friday 7:40 a.m.—3:05 p.m.  Bus routes and times are the same as last school year.

Friday, September 7th is the Picture Make Up Day
Students who didn't have their picture taken August 14-16 will have it taken Friday, September 7th.  This picture will be used in the yearbook and for their student ID.
